Technology has the power to solve complex problems and improve lives on a global scale ~ Vivian Sambu
Meet Vivian Sambu, a data analyst with an IT degree who dove into the ALX Virtual Assistant program to boost her organizational skills and embrace remote work flexibility.
Meet Vivian Sambu. Like most of us (let's be real,) her life isn't exactly Instagram-worthy. Sure, she could play detective with data, uncovering secrets hidden in numbers like the data analyst she is but when it comes to managing her own day-to-day? Let's just say "organized mess" is basically her middle name.
Everyone has that one thing they need a little practice in and just like fate might have it, she stumbled upon the ALX virtual assistant program that promised to turn her schedule into something that didn’t resemble a pinball machine on overdrive. Of course she wasn't some tech cave dweller hiding from the sun. She graduated from Kirinyaga University with an IT degree, but the whole virtual assistant thing felt like a whole new language to her.
Why Virtual Assistant? Two words: freedom and flexibility. To Vivian, the tech world is awesome, but sometimes the office scene can feel a bit, well, stuck in a time warp. She craved the freedom to combine her data skills with some serious organization – and ALX seemed like the perfect map to help her navigate this uncharted territory.
Fast forward to today, and what she can say is that it's been a wild ride! There have been moments where figuring out email etiquette felt harder than deciphering a mind-blowing dataset, believe it or not. But hey, that's the beauty of learning, right? Every challenge, from conquering her fear of color-coding her calendar to scheduling meetings that actually don't feel like torture sessions. Well, it definitely looks like a step in the right direction if you ask us.
Here's the thing, though: this story isn't just about Vivian. She’s here to share the lessons I've learned (and the inevitable goof-ups along the way!) with anyone who wants to join this virtual revolution or maybe even learn a thing or two about data. So, if you’d like to connect further with Vivian you can connect with her on LinkedIn.
